Gold prices rise modestly on Friday.

Gold prices rise modestly on Friday.  U.S. stocks opened lower on Friday as investors assessed a monthly jobs report, which had strong headline numbers, but weak wage growth. The U.S. economy added about 250,000 jobs last month, while unemployment rate was down to 5.6%.  Financial markets are focused on Friday’s U.S. nonfarm payrolls data.

Oil futures post small losses on Friday.  Oil prices plunged nearly 50% in 2014 and have continued to drop this year, swinging between gains and losses with intraday Brent crude prices briefly falling below the $50 a barrel mark this week.
