Top Day Market News
Certainly an interesting development for oil markets last night was the passing of Hugo Chavez. Venezuela has the cheapest gasoline in the world at 6 cents a gallon. His passing opens the door to change.
The ADP private jobs forecast showed a gain of 198,000 jobs. And this was enough to keep equities higher and bonds lower. The metals didn’t like the number immediately came in for some profit-taking only to rebound sharply, showing bipolar tendencies. Watch for draws in crude oil stocks today with the release of the Department of Energy numbers at 1030.
