Top Day Market News

A very light news day in terms of economic releases. Just the treasury budget at two o’clock this afternoon. There is slight downward pressure on equities this morning on profit- taking and modest buying interest in the bond market on concerns about the health of the global economy and growth concerns going forward. Meanwhile, the British pound hit a new 2 ½ year low on stagflation concerns. Remember the currencies are trading June as front month forward and stock index futures have also rolled to June.
