Top Day Market News 

Consumer price index comes in at +0.7%. This is slightly higher than expected. Empire state manufacturing index comes in at 9.24% which is slightly below expectation. We also have y industrial production and capacity utilization at 9:15 AM and the University of Michigan consumer sentiment index at 9:55 AM. Stocks continue to grind higher in the grip of almost a self fulfilling prophecy. The market hasn’t had this many consecutive up sessions since 1991. Italy continues to flounder to establish a government. Mathematically it seems impossible to establish a consensus. There are four factions and one of them said they will not endorse any of the others unless that faction wins. Gold is trading with better tone based on modest dollar weakness. March emini S&P stopped trading at 8:30 AM this morning.
