Crude-oil futures moved lower Thursday, adding to losses after their biggest one-day rout in more than a month after receiving disappointing supply data. West Texas Intermediate crude hangs below $39 a barrel.
U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that supplies of the commodity rose by 15 billion cubic feet for the week ended March 18. Natural gas futures turned slightly higher after this news. Total stocks now stand at 2.493 trillion cubic feet, up 1.02 trillion cubic feet from a year ago.
Gold futures fell Wednesday to settle at their lowest level in nearly a month, pressured by strength in the U.S. dollar.
