The Yen continues its swoon to reflect that that the BOJ will double its money stock. The unemployment number on Friday successfully back burned discussion of when the Fed will step back from stimulus. Some say that the Fed’s actions have been ineffective. Others ask where would we be without this stimulus program. The Fed chairman is to speak later in the day with a Q&A to follow. The unemployment number was so bad that gold staged an impressive short covering rally. This failed to reverse its intermediate trend, however. Nasdaq has rolled over.
