Another rainy morning in New York City. Weekly jobless claims and 4000. This speaks to a reduction in firing and is not really a data point for new hiring. Some modest profit- taking finally hits the stock market. Spanish bonds decline after election results. The jobless claims number is a five- year low. The Bank of England seems reluctant to expand stimulus. UK Industrial production exceeds expectations for the merry month of May. Greek unemployment is at 27%. And the only market that went ballistic overnight was the Aussie dollar. Market was too heavily short going into Pac rim session.
