Top Day Market News

 

The Street was looking for a drop of 0.3% in retail sales. Another comes in at 0.1%. This is much better than expected in terms of consumption. The breakdown is better on most components across the board. This took stock index futures back towards unchanged. The Japanese yen continues to trade lower against the dollar. Bonds remained under pressure as the economy continues to do better than expected. Oil is lower metals are mixed. So currencies are in potential reversal days including the EC and the British pound.
