Top Day Market News

Retail sales at 8:30 will be a closely watched data point. Overnight, China factory production contracts. Their expansion goal of 7.5% will probably be missed. Yesterday, part of the catalyst of the rally was news that China was lowering barriers to foreign investment and was looking at various ways to stimulate the economy. Copper took off on that while at the same time you have to realize that China is taking these actions only because the economic contraction they are seeing is greater than they expected.

Yesterday’s rally has taken the VIX to complacent levels again so watch out. Check the wheels. See below.
