Top Day Market News
Markets were quiet overnight, again. More of the cautionary signs mentioned since the beginning of the week came into play: an initial contraction of ranges led to range expansion to the downside, the fact that the Nasdaq couldn’t gain against the ES, a lack of conviction, etc. all augured for lower prices which were achieved as the week unfolded.
Bonds are up 13% on the year as European growth concerns continue and there is a lack of quality debt paper. At the same time, US jobless claims are at a seven year low.
Gold remains the barometer for Ukrainian tensions.
