Top Day Market News
Over the US holiday weekend, the Ukraine elected a President whose stated main priority is to bring an end to internal strife. Vladimir Putin has previously said that he would work with the winner of this election. The election results were viewed positively by the West. Consequently, gold and oil were both under selling pressure.
Today is a readjustment day after the holiday as traders return. Durable goods and consumer confidence are both on the calendar today which ay counterbalance any post-election lift in the major currencies against the dollar.
