Top Day Market News
Roll over to September Bonds and August Gold. Markets are clawing back some of their losses from Friday. We get the Institute for Supply Management at 10 as well as construction spending. The big number of the week will be the nonfarm payrolls number on Friday. The consensus is calling for the creation of about 175,000 jobs. The question now is if the economy comes in with stronger-than-expected numbers will this tip the Fed towards tapering sooner than later or does the fed need weaker than expected numbers to maintain quantitative easing. A news story indicated that hedge funds have switched their positions on crude oil to a long bias, may have encouraged buying this morning.
