Top Day Market News
Today we begin to turn up the noise in terms of economic releases. Globally, it begins with the 4:30 AM release of the UK Purchasing Manager’s Index. Money flow in the Pound has been negative so we may get a final washout to the downside before seasonality kicks in. Then we get the ADP private jobs forecast at 8:15 am which is the precursor to the Unemployment number at the end of the week. The Street is looking for a 217K number in job creation. Then there’s the 10 AM release for the US Institute for Supply Management Non- Manufacturing number and the Bank of Canada interest rate decision. Also at 10 AM. The Street is looking for rates to stay unchanged at 1.00%.
