We just get the Institute for Supply Management Service Index this morning at 10. Overnight, there was a drop in German factory orders and the Australia cut rates. The European Central Bank meets tomorrow. It also seems that Germany is more open to establishing a euro zone bad debt pool and paying that off over 25 years. This isn’t suggesting the issuance of a euro bond or jointly issued debt; the Germans regard a euro bond as unconstitutional. Even the idea of a common bad debt pool could take years to implement as it would involve treaty alterations and Italy and France may even regard this idea as inadequate. The elections in Greece on June 17th could even result in more elections.
