Top Day Market News
The non-farm payroll report offered little in the way of surprises. At 217K the report came in line with expectations while the headline number came in at 6.3% and the labor participation rate remains troubling. The market took this report as yet another reason to be complacent and rallied again to fresh highs.
It should be remembered that even though the ECB has lowered rates to yield a negative interest rate for member banks depositing funds with them, the total funds that fall in this category are nominal at best.
No eco release today. Currencies will be rolling to September this week. EC will be sold on rallies.
