Top Day Market News
Markets continue to digest the US non-farm payroll report and the ECB rate decision. It’s obvious to many that the ECB have finished cutting rates (they are no negative). The ECB balance sheet is far smaller than that of the FED as member banks are being charged if they deposit money with it. Currency volatility has plunged and carry trades are in vogue: buy the high yield currencies and sell the low yields (the EC).
Today is yet another slow economic release day with just wholesale inventories at 10.
