Top Day Market News
Well, just think if the Fed really stopped buying. One question is answered, with the props the show’s a dud. The Fed’s hint at a tapering of QE was enough to send yields to 20 month highs and strengthen the dollar against all counterparts. A contraction in Chinese manufacturing and a cash crunch was another negative influence that the market had to absorb. This has really hit gold.
Initial claims up 354K from 336K. This would be bond friendly and bonds need some friends this morning. Philly Fed and consumer confidence at 10. This ratchet in rates will hurt the housing sector.
