Top Day Market News
Last night, there was a report that the Coast Guard was investigating a leaking well in the Gulf of Mexico and this was good for a run of over 60 cents a barrel after the stock market close. Also, the American Petroleum Institute reported another draw in crude stocks by 9 million barrels and gas stocks were lower by 3 million barrels, both bullish data points.
Today is busy with wholesale inventories out at 10 and Department of Energy supply/demand numbers for oil and its products at 10:30 and most importantly, the release of the Federal Open Market Committee meeting minutes at 2pm.
