Weekly jobs claims came in better than expected and bonds are slightly lower on this and the dollar is stronger. There is a 30 year bond auction today. Grains are higher but ranges are contracting as is open interest ahead of tomorrow’s crop report. Gold is holding together fairly well despite the stronger dollar. As London is a major money center and that is the locus of the Olympics, many think that traders have been sufficiently distracted to create listless range trading. Nasdaq outperforming S+P as a spread is a market positive
