Sept Crude comes off the board on Tuesday

Market News

Top Day Market News

The end of this week brings U of Michigan Consumer Sentiment figures and Leading Economic Indicators at 9:55 and 10:00. Overnight, it’s been quiet, an August night sort of quiet. We continue to see diminished volumes with prices sprinting to the sweet spot of the trading range just after the opening then grinding there for the balance of the day. The weekend considerations remain focused on the Mid East with Iran, Syria and Israel. Oil is clearly being supported here by the fear of escalation and the fact that US dependence on Saudi oil has increased over the past year even as US production has ramped up. Sept Crude comes off the board on Tuesday.

A modest vacation will be taken through and including next Wednesday.
