The market is waiting for further clarification of a possible US/UK military response against Syria.

08-28-2013

Top Day Market News

Yesterday was the proverbial dead cat bounce day. Crude flew higher Tuesday night only to come back down to earth as more traders arrived on the scene. Overnight, currency interventions for the Brazilian real and the rupee inspired profit taking in metals. Stocks in Asia rallied for the first time in three sessions as the Korean won rallied as well.

We get initial jobless claims and the second estimate for Gross Domestic Product and the deflator or implied rate of inflation all at 8:30.

The market is waiting for further clarification of a possible US/UK military response against Syria which would spike prices and then inspire a price reversal, a classical setup.
