The Aussie was under pressure after it was announced that the economy expanded less than expected

Top Day Market News

Overnight, the EC recouped losses as it’s believed that Mario Draghi will announce “unlimited” bond buying by the ECB to help drive down rates and restore stability to the Euro zone. The Aussie was under pressure after it was announced that the economy expanded less than expected. Of course, the Aussie is a barometer of Chinese strength/weakness and Chinese stocks have been trading at 3 year lows. The ECB bond buying is said to be limited to government 3 year paper. At the same time, Germany remains resistant to this plan and will try to limit it as much as possible. As a possible harbinger of US equity market direction, FedEx projected its first quarterly decline in 3 years.
