Top Day Market News
Unemployment report on Friday disappointed showing only an aggregate add of 96K in new jobs, below estimates and not even close to the ADP number of 201K. The headline came down to 8.1% based on discouraged workers. Ideas that the Fed would trigger QE3 based on this metric weakened the dollar, particularly against the EC. Interestingly enough the implied inflationary implications from a liquidity injection saw the long bond end up lower on the session after a thrust higher. We get a 2 day Fed meeting this week. Stay tuned.
