Top Day Market News
Unusually, for a Monday, we get several economic releases. At 8:30 we get Empire State Manufacturing, then Industrial Production and Capacity Utilization. The markets are also looking at considerable event risk this week with the Federal Open Market Committee meeting and an expected change in language in their communique regarding their policy and economic outlook. Also, the market is anticipating the Scottish independence vote on the 18th. Overnight, the Yen was better and the Aussie weaker due to soft Chinese industrial production. Copper followed suit to reflect this fact as well. If you haven’t already, roll stock index futures to December.
