Top Day Market News
Yesterday stocks dropped the most in two months. The traditional selling influence of the holiday was amplified by the threat of Russian corporate retaliation in the face of sanctions and was further exacerbated by talk of a terrorist threat to the NYC subway system. Bonds flew higher while the dollar continued to strengthen. Metals were defensive but the internals have subtly improved.
Crude was initially higher on geopolitical risk but couldn’t hold the gains as supply currently overwhelms demand.
Today we get the third estimate of GDP and the U of M consumer sentiment index.
