Top Day Market News
It’s another light day in terms of economic releases. Auto and truck sales at 2. There’s not much in the news that would constitute a fresh headline. More attention is being paid to the approach of the fiscal cliff which would see the implementation of draconian budget cuts and higher taxes. The numbers are more than sobering. Actually shocking on both a percentage and bottom line basis.
There still remains a great deal of confusion around Spain and whether or not they will seek a bailout package from the ECB and the ESM. Talk is resurfacing again over the legality of ECB bond purchases.
Continue to expect technical levels to hold and scalping to be the main activity of the day.
