Top Day Market News
Today we should have gotten the non-farm payroll report but the government shutdown precludes this. Equities were sloppy yesterday and tested the lower end of proscribed ranges. There was a huge amount of political give and take through the course of the day including an incident at the White House gates. Expect another sloppy day with a gap higher opening on Monday. The dollar was resolutely week throughout the session except for the British Pound.
Canadian had its tightest range in six months as the market continues to guess at the timetable for a resolution in Washington. Notes against Bonds or NOB now at 7 handles over looks like it wants to go to zero, again, eventually.
