Top Day Market News
A very widely anticipated unemployment report coming so soon on the heels of the first presidential debate. Running up to Friday, the Street was looking for an anemic 120K in jobs created and the headline number to come in at 8.2%. In other words, numbers sort of reflective of the “stagnant quo.”
The number comes in at +114K and the unemployment rates comes in at 7.8%, a surprise with private sector jobs upwardly revised. This is below when the President took office although with a few caveats.
