Top Day Market News
Big release of the day should be the Federal Reserve’s Beige Book at 2pm. The oil inventory data is delayed a day due to the government holiday on Monday. There is a 10 year auction today and rates are backing up in front of it. The chart below is of the 10 year notes against the 30 year Bonds or the NOB spread which looks as though it wants to trade back down to a differential of just above 1300. This would suggest that last Friday’s unemployment numbers gain some traction and help to drive rates slightly higher.
