Top Day Market News
Last night, there was an accord with the House and Senate reaching agreement to fund the government through January 15th and to extend the debt limit until February 7. While Washington was previously content to kick the can down the road, they’ve reduced themselves to nudging it.
Equities and crude oil had predictable rallies. Expect a rash of government reports, especially from the USDA to hit the market over the next several sessions. In the aftermath of the vote, the markets were oddly quiet. The definition of anticlimactic.
