Top Day Market News
Initial and continuing jobless claims today and oil inventories which had been delayed a day due to the observance of Veteran’s Day Monday. The claims number should be scrutinized more than usual in the wake of the unemployment number last Friday and its accompanying greater than expected job creation number.
After the close yesterday, comments from Janet Yellin, the next chairman of the Federal Reserve, were dovish in tone and equities legged higher, the dollar was weaker and short covering was triggered in the metals.
