Top Day Market News
Yesterday was more interesting than it had to be. Comments out of the meandering, occasionally confusing minutes from the last Federal Reserve Open Market Committee meeting suggested that tapering is on the horizon if the economy continues to improve. For the first time, they actually mentioned considering a specific date. This was enough to throw the metals lower and steepen the yield curve radically.
Weekly unemployment claims come in at -21K to the lowest level since late Sept. It was Veteran’s Day week so that has to be factored in, Producer Price Index comes in at 0.2% with the core rate at +0.2%
Philly Fed at 10.
