U.S. crude inventories for the week ended Nov. 28 dropped by 3.7 million barrels, the U.S. Energy Information Administration data showed, while analysts had expected an increase in supplies. That gave crude prices a jump on Wednesday.
U.S. stock futures fluctuated on Friday, with benchmark Treasury yields shooting higher, after the monthly jobs report had the economy adding 321,000 jobs in November, exceeding expectations.
Worries about rate increases, however, didn’t prevent benchmarks from inching toward new records and modest weekly gains.
