Top Day Market News
This week is full of eco releases given its position ahead of the approaching holiday. We start off with Empire State Manufacturing Index then Industrial Production and Cap utilization at 9:15. The key moment of the week will be the FOMC rate decision on Wednesday and with it the possibility of a tapering announcement. The recent budget agreement gave traders the idea that the Fed might be able to get the tapering started in December and this induced selling pressure in equities last week and this continued overnight Sunday. Weak numbers from China’s manufacturing sector weighed on emerging markets and the Aussie dollar continues its readjustment towards the BOA comfort level of 85.
